Position: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Type: Contractual (Initial 3 years, extendable for 2 years based on performance)

Key Responsibilities
The CEO will report directly to the Board of Directors and oversee the company's strategic and operational functions. Primary responsibilities include:
- Providing strategic leadership to ensure alignment with SEPCO's vision, mission, and objectives.
- Overseeing operations to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
- Implementing Board-approved strategies and policies.
- Enhancing operational performance, customer satisfaction, and financial sustainability.
- Ensuring regulatory compliance and adherence to governance standards.
- Promoting transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement within SEPCO.
- Building relationships with stakeholders, including government entities, regulatory bodies, and the community, to advance SEPCO's interests.
Eligibility Criteria
Education
- Minimum 16 years of education in one of the following disciplines:
- Engineering (Electrical/Electronics)
- Business Administration
- Public Administration
- Finance, Commerce, or Marketing
- OR membership in a recognized professional accountancy body.
Experience
- At least 20 years of verifiable experience in the power sector (distribution/supply).
- Relevant experience in governance, business administration, finance, marketing, or similar fields.
- Senior-level positions, including CEO or equivalent, in organizations with commercial orientation.
- Head of department or member of a governing body in a professional institute is also acceptable.
Skills
- Strong leadership, team-building, and change management abilities.
- Proficiency in communication (both verbal and written).
- Knowledge of corporate environments, with a focus on performance-driven growth.
- Familiarity with international best practices in change management.
Other Requirements
- Must meet the "Fit and Proper Criteria" as per Section 16 and Schedule IV of the State-Owned Enterprises (Governance and Operations) Act, 2023.
- Comply with the State-Owned (Ownership & Management) Policy, 2023.
Pay Package
The selected candidate will receive a lump sum pay package as per SEPCO Executive Pay Scales-1 (initial stage), along with other benefits as per company policy.
Tenure
- Initial employment: 3 years (contractual).
- Extendable: 2 additional years, based on annual performance appraisals by the Board.
