Position: Chief Executive Officer, Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP)

Job Details:
Applications are invited from Pakistani nationals for the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP), under Section-5 of the DRAP Act, 2012.
Eligibility Criteria:
Qualification:
- Post-graduate degree in Pharmacy or Medicine.
Experience:
- A minimum of 20 years of experience in management or pharmaceutical regulatory affairs, preferably in the public sector. If no such candidate is available from the public sector, individuals with higher qualifications and relevant experience from the private sector may also be considered.
Quota & Age Limit:
- Age Limit: The applicant must be between 45 and 56 years of age.
Key Responsibilities:
- The CEO will oversee the general control and supervision of DRAP's affairs.
- Ensuring the implementation of the DRAP Act (2012), rules, regulations, policies, and directions from the Board or the Federal Government.
Terms & Conditions of Appointment:
- Tenure: The appointment is for a period of 3 years, subject to the recommendation of the DRAP Policy Board.
- The individual appointed must not have any financial or professional conflict of interest and must not have immediate family members (parents, children, siblings, or spouse) who are senior officials or owners of businesses dealing with therapeutic goods.
- An affidavit regarding "Conflict of Interest" under Section-18 of the DRAP Act (2012) must be submitted with the application.
- Applicants should not hold dual nationality.
- Performance will be periodically evaluated based on key performance indicators.

- Deadline: The application must reach the office within 15 days from the date of advertisement publication.
- Incomplete Applications: Applications that are incomplete, or do not include the required affidavit, or are received after the deadline will not be considered.
- Serving Government Employees: Applications from candidates already in service must be sent through the proper channel.
- Interview: Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. No TA/DA will be provided for the interview.
- Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must present original degrees and certificates verified by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan at the time of the interview.
