VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE POSITION OF CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Pakistan Gems and Jewellery Development Company (PGJDC) is seeking a qualified, experienced, and dynamic professional for the key leadership position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The appointment will be made on a merit basis under a contract, renewable subject to satisfactory performance.

Position Details:

  • Job Title: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

  • Location: Head Office, Karachi

  • Contract Type: Contractual (Renewable based on performance)

Terms of Reference (TORs):

Educational Qualification:

  • A Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a relevant discipline from a reputable foreign/local institution recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum 15 years of professional experience, with at least 7 years in a senior management position in a reputable local or foreign organization.

  • Proven understanding and exposure to project planning and implementation processes with the Government of Pakistan.

  • Knowledge of designing and implementing projects related to:

    • Technology advancements

    • Human resource capacity building

    • Marketing and branding of Gems & Jewellery in a reputable local or foreign organization.

  • Strong leadership qualities, analytical abilities, report writing, and communication skills.

  • Well-developed work ethics and a practical approach to management.

  • Demonstrated networking capability and ability to balance multiple stakeholders’ interests.

  • The applicant must be a Pakistani National. Candidates with dual nationality are not eligible.

  • Age Limit: Not more than 58 years at the time of submission of the application.

  2. Applications must be submitted using the prescribed application form, along with:

    • Attested copies of educational degrees

    • Experience certificates

    • CNIC

    • Two passport-sized photographs

    • Signed and stamped affidavit of declaration

    • Applications must be submitted via courier only. No other submission method will be entertained.

  3. Candidates already working in Government/Public Sector organizations must provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their respective organization.

  4. Final selection will be subject to:

    • Clearing the interview

    • Submission of HEC-verified degrees

  5. PGJDC reserves the right to accept or reject any or all applications at any stage of the recruitment process.
