Departmental Chairpersons Required in Medicine & Anesthesia Departments
Applications are invited for the position of Departmental Chairperson
Ayub Medical College & Ayub Teaching Hospital, Medical Teaching Institution (MTI), Abbottabad, is seeking applications for the position of Departmental Chairperson in the following departments:
Required Qualifications:
- MBBS degree along with requisite postgraduate qualifications and experience in the relevant specialty.
- Must meet the criteria set by PM&DC and MTI Abbottabad Regulations.
Responsibilities:
The appointed Departmental Chairperson will be responsible for:
- Administration of the respective department.
- Acting as a member of the Academic Council.
- Developing curricula as per PM&DC and KMU Peshawar guidelines.
- Facilitating research for faculty and students.
- Engaging in patient care and clinical services.
- Enhancing the standard of clinical teaching and Institution-Based Private Practice (IBPP).
Terms & Conditions:
- The selected Chairperson will serve a three (03) year term, renewable for two additional terms (3 years each) at the discretion of the competent authority.
- Appointment will be made as per MTI Regulations & Rules approved by the competent authority. The appointee will be offered an equivalent faculty position based on their previous post.
- Institution-Based Private Practice (IBPP) within Ayub Teaching Hospital premises is mandatory as per institutional policy and MTI Rules. Private practice outside the hospital is strictly prohibited.
- An affidavit certifying compliance with condition (No. 3) must be submitted by all applicants.
- Candidates from Government, Semi-Government, Autonomous, or Semi-Autonomous Bodies must apply through the proper channel with an NOC. Candidates from Private Medical Colleges must also submit an NOC from their institution.
- An Experience Certificate from PM&DC or previous institution must be attached.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.
- Maximum age limit: 65 years.
- Domicile: Open to candidates from all over Pakistan.
