The Centre for Aerospace & Security Studies (CASS), Lahore, invites applications from eligible Pakistani Nationals (Male/Female) on a contract basis for the following vacancies:
Positions and Qualifications/Experience
1. Senior Researcher
Qualifications:
M.Phil Degree and/or PhD in the following disciplines from an HEC recognized university:
Aerospace Power
Strategic Studies
Artificial Intelligence
Cyber Warfare
Economics
International Relations
National Security
Public Policy
Nuclear Studies
Experience:
8-10 Years of experience in research/academia/think tank.
Strong analytical and academic writing skills along with excellent communication skills.
Proven ability to meet tight deadlines.
Preference will be given to candidates with 5 research papers published in Web of Science and/or HEC recognized journals.
2. Senior Editor
Qualifications:
PhD in a relevant field (e.g., International Relations, Political Science, Economics, Public Policy) preferred.
Experience:
Proven experience (10+ Years) in academic or think tank publishing, with a strong editorial track record.
Exceptional editing and writing skills, with a meticulous eye for detail and ability to improve clarity and coherence.
Familiarity with academic publishing standards, including peer review processes and publication ethics.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, reference management Software, Turnitin).
Commitment to the mission and values of the think tank, with a passion for advancing public policy discourse through rigorous research and clear communication.
3. Researcher
Qualifications:
M.Phil/Master's/Bachelor's degree in the following disciplines from an HEC recognized university:
Aerospace Power
Artificial Intelligence
Cyber Warfare
Strategic Studies
Economics
Nuclear Studies
National Security
International Relations
Public Policy
Peace and Conflict Studies
Experience:
Proficiency in MS Office, Zoom, fact-checking, and reference standardization.
Skills and aptitude towards research and report writing.
Preference will be given to candidates with 2-3 years of experience as a researcher and candidates with publications in national/international journals.
