Applications are invited for the following contractual faculty positions at Azad Jammu & Kashmir Medical College (AJKMC), Muzaffarabad, under the Department of Health, Government of AJK. Appointments will be made in accordance with Government policies and PM&DC criteria.

Terms & Conditions for Contract Appointment

  • The positions are purely contractual, under the Contract Policy 2006 of GoAJK, for an initial period of three (03) years, extendable as per government directives.

  • Merit-based selection will be observed, with preference given to AJK nationals.

  • Selected candidates must adhere to all rules and regulations of PM&DC and AJKMC.

  • Either party may terminate the contract with 30 days prior notice or one month's salary in lieu, without any reason.

  • Income tax will be deducted as per applicable laws.

  • Age limits apply as per PM&DC and GoAJK policy.

  • Matters not covered in the contract will be governed by existing GoAJK rules.

  • Shortlisted candidates only will be contacted for interview. No TA/DA will be provided.

  • Selected faculty must join within the given period after the issuance of the appointment letter, failing which the next candidate on merit will be appointed.

  • Minimum six (06) hours daily physical presence is mandatory. Less than this will be treated as part-time, which is not allowed under PM&DC rules. Absence for that day will be recorded.

Instructions for Department of Health (DoH) Employees

  • DoH employees currently serving in teaching hospitals must apply through the proper channel, enclosing the required documents.

  • Selected candidates will receive salary from their substantive post with teaching allowance subject to government policy and available posts.
