SITUATIONS VACANT

The Pakistan Study Centre, University of Peshawar, invites applications from qualified individuals for the following faculty positions:

1. Associate Professor (Pakistan Studies)

  • Pay Scale (BPS): 20
  • Number of Posts: 1
  • Minimum Qualification:
    • Ph.D. in Pakistan Studies or a relevant field from an HEC-recognized university/institution.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 10 years of teaching/research experience in an HEC-recognized university, a post-graduate institution, or relevant professional experience in a national or international organization.
      OR
    • Minimum 5 years of post-Ph.D. teaching/research experience in a recognized university, a post-graduate institution, or relevant professional experience in a national or international organization.
  • Publications Requirement:
    • A minimum of 10 research publications, with at least 4 publications in the last 5 years, in HEC-recognized journals.

2. Assistant Professor (Pakistan Studies)

  • Pay Scale (BPS): 19
  • Number of Posts: 1
  • Minimum Qualification:
    • Ph.D. in Pakistan Studies or a relevant field from an HEC-recognized university/institution.

Application Process & General Instructions

  1. Application Forms:

    • Can be obtained from the Pakistan Study Centre by paying Rs. 100/-.
    • Alternatively, forms can be downloaded from the Centre’s website http://pscpesh.org.
    • In the case of downloaded forms, the Rs. 100/- fee will be payable upon submission.

  2. Processing Fee:

    • An original bank receipt of Rs. 5000/- (non-refundable) must be attached to the application form.
    • Payment should be made in the name of Director, Pakistan Study Centre, University of Peshawar, in A/C No. 04040022924601, HBL, University Campus Branch, Peshawar.

  3. Required Documents:
    Applications must be complete in all respects and include four sets of the following attested photocopies:

    • Degrees and diplomas
    • CNIC (Computerized National Identity Card)
    • Two passport-size photographs

  4. Submission Deadline:

    • The complete application must reach the office of the undersigned on or before 5th March 2025.

  5. Government Employees:

    • Applicants currently serving in government departments must apply through the proper channel.
    • A No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their respective departments/institutions must be attached with the application.

  6. Important Notes:

    • Incomplete applications or those received after the due date will not be considered.
    • Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.
    • The decision of the Pakistan Study Centre shall be final in all matters.
    • Any errors or omissions are subject to rectification by the Centre.
