The Sindh Institute of Medical Sciences (SIMS) and Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT) in Karachi invite dynamic and qualified professionals to apply for various academic and clinical positions in the School of Nursing (SON). The available positions are detailed below:

1. Associate Professor

Eligibility:

  • Academic Qualification:

    • PhD in Nursing or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Bachelor of Science in Nursing Post-RN (BSN-PRN).

  • Experience:

    • Teaching and clinical experience at undergraduate and graduate levels.

    • Academic-administrative experience is desirable.

    • Minimum of 05 publications in HEC-recognized Nursing/Health Sciences Journals, with at least one as the first author in the last two years.

2. Assistant Professor

Eligibility:

  • Academic Qualification:

    • PhD in Nursing or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Bachelor of Science in Nursing Post-RN (BSN-PRN).

  • Experience:

    • Teaching and clinical experience at undergraduate levels.

    • Minimum 03 publications in HEC-recognized Nursing/Health Sciences Journals, with at least one as the first author in the last two years.

    • Candidates with PhD/MSN qualifications will be given preference.

Note: Nursing positions require a valid PNMC license.

3. Senior Lecturer

Eligibility:

  • Academic Qualification:

    • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Bachelor of Science in Nursing Post-RN (BSN-PRN).

  • Experience:

    • For MSN holders: 02 years of teaching and 02 years of clinical experience.

    • For BSN/Post-RN BSN holders: 04 years of teaching and 05 years of clinical experience.

    • Minimum 01 publication in HEC-recognized Nursing/Health Sciences Journals, with at least one as the first author in the last two years.

4. Nursing Instructor/Lecturer

Eligibility:

  • Academic Qualification:

    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing Post-RN (BSN-PRN).

  • Experience:

    • Minimum 04 years of clinical experience and 01 year of teaching experience.

5. Clinical Nursing Instructor/Lecturer

Eligibility:

  • Academic Qualification:

    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing Post-RN (BSN-PRN).

  • Experience:

    • Minimum 05 years of teaching experience and 02 years of clinical experience.

  • All academic qualifications must be from HEC-recognized Universities/Degree Awarding Institutes.
