Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) invites applications from Pakistani Nationals with domicile in any district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for the following expert positions on a contract basis:

Posts, Qualifications, and Experience:

1 Assistant Director Forensic (Ballistics, Firearms & Tool Marks) (BPS-17) 01 25-35 years First Class BS/MSc in Forensic Science, Physics, Chemistry, or a Bachelor's in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
2 Assistant Director Forensic (Fingerprint) (BPS-17) 01 25-35 years First Class BS/MSc in Chemistry or Forensic Science from a recognized university.
3 Assistant Director Forensic (Digital) (BPS-17) 01 25-35 years First Class BS/MSc in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Bachelor's in Software/Computer Systems Engineering from a recognized university.
4 Assistant Director Legal (BPS-17) 01 25-35 years LLB (Second Class) from a recognized university with one-year experience in legal cases, preferably terrorism-related cases.
5 Assistant Forensic Scientist (Ballistics, Firearms & Tools Marks) (BPS-16) 02 25-35 years BS in Forensic Science, Chemistry, or relevant qualification.
6 Assistant Forensic Scientist (Fingerprint) (BPS-16) 02 25-35 years Second Class Degree in BS Chemistry or Forensic Science.
7 Assistant Forensic Scientist (Digital) (BPS-16) 04 25-35 years Second Class Degree in BS Computer Science, Information Technology, or Software/Computer Systems Engineering.

Important Notes:

  • The contract is for an initial period of three (03) years, extendable based on Performance Evaluation Reports (PER).
  • Cut-off date for age limit calculation is 15th September 2024.
  • Government servants, including civil servants, police officers, and employees of autonomous bodies, must apply through the proper channel with a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their parent department.
  • Applications must be submitted online via the CTD Web Portal (www.ctdkppolice.gov.pk) by 11:59 PM on Sunday, 20th October 2024.

Selection Process:

3 Practical Test
4 Psychological Test

6 Background Investigation
7 Fitness-For-Duty Medical Exam

Scoring Criteria:

Field Marks Description
Academic Record 10 MPhil & PhD = 03 marks each. Extra 05 marks for BS/MS in relevant forensic fields.
Experience 10 02 marks per year of relevant experience. Max: 10 marks.
Written Test 40 Only top 120 candidates will proceed to Practical Test.
Practical Test 20 Top 120 candidates will be selected based on the Written Test.
Interview 20 Top 60 candidates will proceed to the Interview.

Total marks: 100

Additional Details:

  • Preference is given to candidates with degrees in Forensic Sciences (Ballistics, Firearms & Tools Marks, Fingerprint, and Digital Forensic).
  • Roll Number Slips for the Written Test will be issued to successful applicants.
  • Practical and Interview details will be communicated via email and WhatsApp.
