CAREER OPPORTUNITY
The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), the apex regulator of capital markets and the corporate sector in Pakistan, is seeking qualified, result-oriented, and energetic professionals with strong integrity and exceptional analytical skills for the following contractual position in its Prosecution and Legal Affairs Division, based on open merit.
Position: Additional Director - Prosecution & Civil Litigation Department
Location: Karachi (with the potential for transfer to any other city in Pakistan at SECP’s discretion)
Number of Positions: 01
Qualification Requirements:
- LL.B. or LL.M. from an HEC-recognized university/institute.
- Must be enrolled as an advocate of the High Court.
- Preference will be given to candidates who have completed a Bar-at-Law course after LL.B. or have an LL.M. degree with experience in company and corporate litigation.
Experience Criteria:
- A minimum of 12 years of post-qualification experience is required.
- Preference will be given to candidates with at least 10 years of experience as an advocate of the Sindh High Court, with proven experience in independently handling corporate and criminal prosecution (white-collar crime) or related legal experience in a mid-level corporate position.
- Experience in corporate legal advisory and other related matters is required.
- Note: Applicants are encouraged to provide details of decided cases, including reported cases related to corporate matters, in the specified format within the Terms of Reference (TORs). This can include records of trial and High Court cases handled as an Independent Counsel, Public Prosecutor, or similar roles.
Nature of Employment:
- Contractual for three (03) years, extendable based on need and performance.
- The position may be regularized after three years, subject to meeting the Commission’s prescribed criteria.

- Maximum age: 45 years (as of the last date of application submission).
