Medical Teaching Institution Abbottabad (ATH/ACD/AMC), a 1500-bed tertiary care hospital operating under the MTI Act 2015 and its amendments, is seeking applications for the following position:


Position: Hospital Director
Number of Positions: 01


Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Hospital Management, Health Services Management, Business Management, Public Health, Public Administration, or other relevant management qualifications.
  • Candidates with a recognized medical degree in addition to management qualifications and experience are encouraged to apply.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification management experience in a similar organization or institution (relaxable by the Board of Governors for outstanding candidates).

Skills Required:

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong team development and management skills.
  • Exceptional time management abilities.
  • Proven leadership and project management experience.
  • Capability to lead a team of employees in a large institution.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all non-clinical functions of the hospital.
  • Prepare the annual budget and business plan for presentation to the Management Committee and Board.
  • Manage the maintenance of the hospital building and engineering services.
  • Develop and maintain ancillary services such as pharmacy, nursing, materials management, human resources, clerical services, and security.
  • Act as the Principal Accounting Officer responsible for maintaining financial discipline and transparency.
  • Implement policies set by the Board of Governors and ensure targets are met.
  • The Hospital Director reports to the Board of Governors and is responsible for ensuring compliance with the MTI Act and institutional regulations.

General Information:

  1. All roles, responsibilities, and selection processes will follow the MTI Act and institutional regulations.
  2. Verification of educational and experience certificates will occur during shortlisting. Any discrepancies or falsification of documents will result in disqualification.
  3. Candidates must be in good standing with their current employer (reference letter required).
  4. The position is non-practicing and the candidate must have no conflict of interest.
  5. The contract will be for 5 years, extendable for two additional 5-year terms at the Board’s discretion.
  6. Government/Semi-Government employees must apply through proper channels and provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC).
  7. A competitive salary and benefits package will be offered based on qualifications and experience.
  8. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.

  10. The Board of Governors reserves the right to cancel the advertisement or selection process or re-advertise the position.
