University of Karachi Announces Admissions For M.Phil And PhD Programmes

International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), University of Karachi (KU) has announced the to its M.Phil and Ph.D level degree programs 2020.

H.E.J Research Institute of Chemistry which is also known as the premier institute of international stature is inviting the applications from the aspirants for the admissions in the below-mentioned M. Phil and Ph.D programs.

• Organic Chemistry
• Analytical/Physical/Inorganic Chemistry
• Bio-Organic Chemistry
• Pharmacology
• Textile Chemistry

Eligibility Criteria for M.Phil Program

The candidates having M.Sc / BS (4-years) in the relevant disciplines of Biochemistry / chemistry, Applied chemistry / Biotechnology / B.Pharm / Pharm.D or equivalent qualification with atleast 2^nd division from HEC recognized institute will be eligible to apply for the M.Phil program. On the other hand, candidates having MBBS, BDS, DVM or equivalent degree will be required to complete 15 credit hours before undertaking 24 credit hours Mphil courses.

Eligibility Criteria for PhD Program

The applicants having M.Phil, M.Pharm or equivalent degree in Chemistry / Biochemistry / Applied Chemistry and Biotechnology from an HEC recognized institute will be eligible to apply for PhD level degree program.

How to Apply?

• The admission forms are available at the official website of Karachi University. The applicants can fill and submit admission forms along with the scanned copies of required mark sheets through online admission web portal.
• The candidates willing to apply for the admissions in above-mentioned programs can generate the fee voucher of Rs 4500/- (nonrefundable) and can submit it in any branch United Bank Limited (UBL).
• The candidates are also required to upload the scanned copy of fee deposit slip along with the admission forms.  

Deadline:

Last date for the submission of admission forms along with fee is July 19^th, 2020.

Important Note: Due to current COVID-19 situation across the country all the candidates will be exempted from admission test. The admission will be granted to candidates on the basis of interviews.
