Peshawar: The provincial government plans to introduce Fachhochschule or University of Applied Sciences (UAS) at universities crosswise the province.
UAS is a tertiary education system that concentrates on contemporary regions like engineering, technology and business. University of Applied sciences or Fachhochschule was introduced in 1960 in Austria and is targeted to impart a diverse menu of abilities to apsirants.

This statement was given by Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Information and Higher Education Mushtaq Ghani while talking to media sources on Sunday.
According to Ghani, the government plans to begin this new system at technical universities for the improvement of professional studies.
“The provincial government allotted Rs9 billion for higher education in budget 2016-17,” he added.
“That’s why it plans to introduce UAS for the first time in Pakistan.” He added UAS will be implemented at University of Haripur in association along with five other technical universities in KPK.
