Karachi: State Bank of Pakistan is ready to issue the coin of 50 Rupees on March 31st, 2017 in the commemoration of late Abdul Sattar Edhi.
The state bank had decided to issue this coin in a cabinet meeting organized on July 15th, 2016, just after a week the man had passed away.

As per the State Bank of Pakistan, the coin is to be launched keeping in view the contributions of late Abdul Sattar Edhi to humanity.
The B side of the coin will have a side portrait of Abdul Sattar Edhi. The life span of Edhi, 1928 to 2016, is also inscribed on the same side.
On the other side of the coin, it has a crescent along with the two blades of wheat crossed into each other.
In between the springs of wheat and the crescent, ‘2016’ is engraved, the year when Abdul Sattar Edhi died.

The Rs 50 coin would be available at the exchange counters of all field offices of the State Bank across the country.
