Punjab University Announces All Pakistan Qirat And Naat Competition 2020

Currently, the country is going through a deep sense of fear, anxiety, and depression because of the present pandemic situation. Under this alarming situation Punjab University, an oldest higher educational institute, has inaugurated an activity of ALL PAKISTAN QIRAAT AND NAAT COMPETITIONS which will be held in the month of Ramzan. The step has taken to perform a healthy activity to dispel the current fearful and depressed condition. The competition is an online activity at the national level.

Eligibility Criteria of the Competition  

The compaction will be organized into three main categories and these are listed below:

Category 1:                   08 years to 15 years

Category 2:                   16 years to 30 years

Category 3:                   30 years and above

Rules for Qirat Competition  

For Qirat competition applicants are required to follow the below-given rules:

• The verses of the Holy Quran will be announced by the judges before starting it by the participants.
• The maximum time duration is 03 minutes.
• Applicants are not allowed to repeat the verses.
• Applicants will be evaluated on the base of pronunciation, presentation, and oratory, etc.
• The decision of judges will be final and no participant could challenge it. 

Rules for Qirat Competition 

For Naat competition applicants are required to follow the below-given rules:

• Applicants will present only three stanzas of Naat.
• Applicants are not allowed to repeat the stanzas.
• Applicants are only allowed to perform Naat in the Urdu language.
• Naat in the composition of a song is not allowed to perform.
• The maximum time duration is 03 to 04 minutes.
• Applicants will be evaluated on the base of pronunciation, presentation, and oratory, etc.
• The decision of judges will be final and no participant could challenge it.
