The Government of Punjab has prepared the SOPs for educational activities in schools that are about to resume from September 15th, 2020.
Ban On All Kinds of Educational Activities
In this regard, the Department of Primary and Secondary Health Care has issued notification of SOPs in which it has been clarified that indoor games, swings, slides and sports activities will be completely banned.
Furthermore, the seminars, speech competitions, sports competitions as well as the tournaments will be banned in all educational institutions. It has been clearly mentioned in the notification as well that wearing a mask in educational institutions will be mandatory whereas holding a morning assembly will also be banned.

Stated Percentage of Students for Buses and Hostels
The notification further added that just 50% of the total capacity will be utilized in the buses of educational institutes whereas just only 30% will be used for hostel facilities. The aspirants as well as faculty members will be required to wash their hands. All the educational institutes will ensure the availability of soap and hand sanitizer.
Cleanliness of Educational Institutes Thoroughly Before Resumption of Classes
The statement directed that students and staff suffering from shortness of breath should be confined to their homes. Institutions should be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected 3 days before the commencement of educational activities and this process should be repeated on a daily basis.
Special Instruction For Entering and Leaving the Schools
Under the guidelines, a social distance of at least 6 feet will be required in educational institutes. The aspirants will not be permitted to shake hands along with the other classmates. Moreover, the social distance will also be made mandatory during entering and leaving the school.
Checking of Student’s Temperature on Daily Basis
Teachers will take a social distance while lecturing in educational institutions. The aspirants in educational institutions have been instructed to bring their lunch from home whereas it has been asked to check the temperature of students along with the thermal gun and prepare a separate health log book.
