All nine Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISEs) in Punjab have officially released the names of top-performing students in the Secondary School Certificate (Matric/SSC) 1st Annual Examination 2025. The results highlight exceptional academic achievements by students from both Science and Humanities groups across the province.
This year, several students achieved near-perfect marks, showcasing the growing competitiveness in academic performance. Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad, and Sahiwal boards reported the highest individual scores, with multiple students securing over 1185 out of 1200 marks.
Lahore BISE: Haram Fatima (1193 marks), a student of Dar-e-Arqam High School for Girls, Kasur Road, claimed the top spot.
Multan BISE: Haroon Hamid from National H.S.S. Dunyapur topped with 1193 marks.
Faisalabad BISE: Muhammad Moeez Qamar achieved first position with 1189 marks.
Sahiwal BISE: Faizan Fareed Asrar from Okara stood first with 1189 marks.
DG Khan BISE: Hania Mahmood from Layyah secured the top position with 1187 marks.
In the Science Group, the battle for top honors was intense:
Girls dominated with high scores, including Haram Fatima (1193) from Lahore and Ume Romaan (1187) from Sahiwal.
Among boys, Haji Abuzar Tanveer (1188) from Lahore and Moeez Qamar (1189) from Faisalabad stood out.
Students in the Humanities stream also performed admirably:
In Sargodha, Sardar Usman Ali Haider Khan topped with 1159 marks.
Muneeba Ramzan from Bahawalpur led among Humanities girls with 1117 marks.
Abubakar from Lahore Board scored 1088 marks, topping the Humanities boys' category.
Faisalabad BISE reported top marks from Moeez Qamar and Maham Mumtaz.
Multan BISE had a remarkable five-way tie for third place among girls, with each scoring 1187 marks.
Sahiwal BISE awarded cash prizes to all top three position holders in each group.
Bahawalpur BISE revealed a fierce competition among girls in Science with multiple students sharing the third position at 1179 marks.
Punjab School Education Department and respective boards hosted award ceremonies on July 24, 2025, to honor these young achievers. Scholarships, shields, and cash prizes were presented to encourage further academic excellence.
Speaking at the occasion, board officials emphasized that these students are the pride of the province and urged others to follow their example of dedication and hard work.
