Amid the spread of the COVID-19, the government has canceled all the examinations, and students will be promoted to the next grade without appearing in the exam. The Punjab Board of technical education also followed the same way and canceled the exams of all courses such as Diploma for Associate Engineering, commerce, and matric (technical and vocational). The students can submit the admission fee up till the 15th of June. The admission schedule has been issued by the authorities and it will be not extended in any case. However, Punjab Board and Technical Education issued a notification and announce to grant a concession of 40% in examination fee to the students
Promotion Policy For Students
The Regular Students will be Promoted according to the promotion policy of government whereas the private students will have to appear in the exam. It is not confirmed yet that when the exam for the private candidates will be held. After the final decision, the students will be notified of the exam schedule so that they can prepare accordingly. Punjab board of technical education is waiting for the final announcement of government officials regarding the promotion policy so that it can also process this issue and promote the students
Concession In Exam Fee
Minister of Industries, Commerce and Investment, Mian Ahsan Iqbal has directed to provide the 40% concession in the exam fee. The relief will be only provided to those students who shall meet the criteria of promotion policy. The student failed in more than 40% of subjects in the previous exam will be subjected to reappear in the exam by paying the full fee. It is probably expected that special exams will be arranged in November/December 2020 or whenever possible depending upon the situation.
