Pakistan medical commission had announced to consider the elective subjects of FSc for merit calculation. Earlier the meeting was held in the federal education minister and the other members participated to decide about the admission of the public and private medical and dental colleges as the exams could not be conducted on time. Due to the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, all the exams got postponed and the government had announced to hold the exams after 10th July 2021. Moreover, it has been declared that the students can appear in the MDCAT exam without taking the intermediate exams.
Merit Calculation
During the meeting, it had been proposed to consider only the elective subjects of intermediate to determine the merit for the MDCAT. According to the statement issued by the federal education minister, this year the students will appear in the elective subject’s exams and the marks will be awarded to them based on their performance. So by considering this fact the merit should be based on the elective subjects of intermediate. Due to the ongoing situation of the pandemic the government has provided relief to the students as it is not possible to conduct the annual exams of all the subjects. So the candidates of intermediate are required to follow the provided instructions regarding the exams.
MDCAT 2021
The Pakistan medical commission has announced the registration schedule for the medical and dental college admission test MDCAT 2021. The candidates that want to appear in the test have to submit the application form as per the instructions issued by the PMC. The MDCAT test will be conducted from 30th August 2021 to 30th September 2021. All the students can take the MDCAT to secure admission in the public/private medical and dental colleges before appearing in the annual examinations.
