Islamabad: Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Naawaz Sharif has approved a summary for extending the upper age limit of candidates appearing in Central Superior Services (CSS) examinations from 28 to 30 years, said media sources.
This summary was was moved by the planning and development ministry, a few months ago, however PM had rejected to sanction the same, citing procedural mistakes in the draft. Now the summary has been approved by the authority.

Furthermore, the upper age limit for serving government employees (both federal as well as provincial) has been increased from 30 to 32 years for CSS competitive exams.
The age limit for CSS competitive exams was reduced from 32 to 30 years for government serving employees and that of 30 to 28 years for other candidates during the Musharraf government.
In the meantime, Minister for Planning, Development and Reform Ahsan Iqbal confirmed the news also on twitter.
