Peshawar: As a sign of protest, Nabi Shah, a student of Journalism and Mass Communication at University of Peshawar, refused to get his graduation degree from the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Iqbal Zafar Jhagra on Wednesday.

Calling the governor ‘corrupt’, he requested the vice chancellor of the university Rasool Jan to presented him the degree.

However, the vice chancellor did not accept his request and the student left the stage without being given his degree.

While talking to the media sources, Nabi Shah said that the civilians paid the cost of the political conflict between the two parties and no one raised their voice for the rights of the aspirants.

Almost 470 graduates including 45 PhDs were presented degrees in the University of Peshawar Convocation 2016.

Furthermore, 25 brilliant were awarded gold medals in the ceremony.
