Sharjah: The Pakistan Social Centre (PSC), Sharjah has announced that that it will offer more than 100 scholarships to the brilliant students of Pakistan in United Arab Emirates.
The Pakistan Social centre has signed an accord along with the Global Learning Centre (GLC), which is affiliated along with the universities in Malaysia, United Kingdom and United States of America.

The president of PSC, Chaudhry Khalid Hussain said:
“We have signed an agreement along with GLC University to provide 100 percent to Pakistani students to study at some prominent universities in Malaysia, the USA and the UK.”
He said that these scholarships will cover 50% to 100% tuition fee to allow the brilliant as well as deserving aspirants to continue their higher education.

“The step is the part of our social as well as education projects to facilitate our emigrant community in United Arab Emirates as part of the Year of Giving of the UAE,” he said.
Khalid Hussain said that Pakistan Social Centre always supports the educational projects and this recent step is a stepping stone to support as well as to encourage the outstanding aspirants of the community. The centre also organizes honouring ceremonies annually to award the brilliant students in Pakistani schools across United States of America.
“The centre also provides sports facilities to the aspirants along with the reading facility at its library,” he said.
The education and cultural secretary, Masood Ahmad, at the Pakistan Social Centre, said that their priority is to enhance the educational standards of Pakistani aspirants in United States of America and provide them along with the opportunities to study at the top leading universities.

The chairperson of GLC, Dr S.M. Tahir, said that the community members should take the benefit of the scholarship programme because it is a golden chance for the aspirants who are good at studies however cannot afford to continue their studies at the university level.
“We will not just offer the scholarships however, we will also assist the aspirants in getting admission in the top leading higher educational institutes,” he added.
Interested students can submit their application forms till September 30th, 2017.
