Islamabad: Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdullah University, Fez, Morocco and University of Hassan II Casablanca, Morocco signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) along with International Islamic University of Islamabad (IIUI) for broader cooperation in academic fields as well as in the scientific research training.
Mohammed Ben Adbullah University was represented by its Chancellor Prof Omer Assobhei whereas Hassan II University was represented by Prof Driss Mansouri and International Islamic University was represented by its chancellor Prof Dr Ahmed Yousef AlDraiweesh.

Ambassador of Morocco Mustapha Salahddinne together with the principal of IIU Prof Dr Masoom Yasinzai as well as the other officials of the university were also present at the ceremony.
As per signed MoU, in addition to scientific and academic cooperation, Moroccan universities and the IIU will also exchange faculty members, managerial staff as well as aspirants students to get training and knowledge, have an idea of systems of education of both countries, quality of research and training.
The signed MoU also said that faculty of the universities of Morocco and the IIU will visit each other’s alma mater alternatively. Teamwork and exchange of research material related to combined academic and research project is also part of the MoU.

Exchange of teaching and learning resources (in electronica or other way) for knowledge and education are also main points of the MoU.
As per the signed document between Pakistani and Moroccan officials of their respective universities, it was agreed that a committee will be set up consisting on the members of universities to execute the cooperation as considered in MoU.
The committee might select additional members who will be considered fit for this purpose.
