NUML’s Confucius Institute branch ranked highest in the world

National University of Modern Languages’ (NUML) Confucius Institute has been ranked as the best institute in the world when it comes to language rules, particularly Chinese.

The Confucius Institute is present in 50 countries all over the world along with more than 300 branches. The Pakistani chapter of the Confucius Institute ranks at the top globally.

Considered best in the world for teaching Chinese

The news regarding the ranking was spread by the new Chinese Cultural Counsellor You Yi.

He said that NUML’s Confucius Institute located in Islamabad is ranked as highest in the world when compared along with the other Confucius institutes established in different countries of the world.

In a statement, he said that:

NUML’s Confucius Institute is offering training facilities not only to the aspirants but it also offering learning facilities to the teachers in Chinese language proficiency by providing a galaxy of courses from basic business level to PhD level utilizing multimedia, internet as well as innovative techniques added along with  high level of Trained Chinese Instructors and Pakistani Teachers

The Confucius institute was established in April 2005 to foster Pak-China friendship. It came into being due to a collaboration between Chinese Language Council International (Hanban), Beijing Language and Culture University and NUML.

The representative from China said that language is an important tool that will behave like a main key towards building a long lasting relationship among the two states.

After the China Pakistan Economic Corridor was launched, NUML’s Confucius institute’s importance has increased to a great extent.

The Chinese cultural counselor continued by acknowledging the NUML Chancellor and President of Pakistan, Mamnoon Hussain, NUML Director General Brig Riaz Ahmed Gondal as well as Rector Major General retired Zia ud Din Najam. He thanked them for their help and contribution towards making NUML’s Confucius Institute the best in the world.

Chinese Cultural Events Coming Soon

As per the Counsellor You Yi, to mark the 67th anniversary of founding of People’s Republic of China, Chinese Cultural Office Islamabad will be organizing numerous events via NUML’s Confucius Institute. They would involve a Chinese language competition, cultural shows, exhibitions of Chinese calligraphy, donations to books as well as Chinese paintings.

As per the promises made by the counselor You Yi, for more strengthening the NUML Confucius Institute, more Cultural Scholarships will be offered to Pakistani aspirants in different subjects and disciplines.
