Corona's ruthless wave and poor government policies made many citizens unemployed. 20% of students at private schools in Lahore have dropped out due to non-payment of fees by parents, while 9% of private schools have closed due to non-payment of expenditures. Parents have removed their children from A and B category schools due to high fees. Attendance of children in C category schools has also decreased by 7%.
Impact of Corona on Students Attendance
In most A and B category schools, 20% of children have dropped out of school. On the other hand, due to the monthly fee of Rs. 20 in government schools, the enrollment of children has increased significantly. Parents said that schools were opened for only 71 days last year due to Corona, children are still going to school only 2 days a week, and there are no jobs due to Corona, where to pay thousands of rupees fees of private schools. On the other hand, President Serving Schools Association Mian Raza said that due to poor policies of the government, 20% of children have dropped out of school. If there will be no relaxation in government policies then this ratio may increase.
