Revised School Timings in KPK:

With safety and comfort in mind, schools across the KPK province will now open an hour earlier. Now for the summer 2024 KPK school timing will start for students at 7:00 AM instead of previous timing (8:00 AM). This changes in the school timing has been made to lessen the effects of the harsh temperature, allowing students to come and leave the school in a comparable cooler environment. Furthermore, the Scholl off timings for primary schools in KPK will be 11:00 AM, while middle to secondary school students will dismiss at 12:00 PM.

Summer Vacation Date 2024 in KPK:

Due to the peak of summer 2024, the KPK provincial education department has announced to give students summer vacations 2024 for schools across the province. The summer vacation for Primary school students will begin from 1^st June 2024 to 31^st August 2024, providing students with a much-needed break to refresh their minds. Similarly, the students of middle, high, and higher secondary schools will get their well-deserved vacations from 15^th June 2024 to 31^st August 2024. This summer break will offer students and teacher both an opportunity to take rest from this rising summer temperature. Notably, schools situated in cooler areas will commence their summer vacations from 1^st July 2024 to 31^st August 2024, aligning with the unique climatic conditions of these regions.

Steps Taken to Minimize the School Hours

Due to the extreme heat, the KPK government has taken few decisions to shorten the school hours. As we informed you earlier that the schools will now stay open from 7:00 AM to 12:00 AM. During this reduced school timing there won't be any assembly or additional sports period to maintain the time in this rising heat. Also the break or lunch time for students has also been reduced. These changes aim to keep the school timing short so the students can easily attend and leave the school during the cooler duration of the day.
