Minister of Education Murad Raas has taken a new decision about schools in Lahore and Rawalpindi. In his latest Tweet, he said all public and private schools' classes up to grade 6 will be staggered; 50 percent of students each day till 15th February 2022. However, the classes from Grade 7 through 12 will remain on the previous schedule. He also encourages people to get vaccinated and to follow all government-issued SOPS.

The Punjab government announced the integration of various limitations in Lahore schools on Wednesday, following the National Command and Operation Centre's instructions (NCOC). In the previous news, Government restricted the attendance of students in the schools due to the rising cases of Coronavirus.

Covid 19 SOPs

In impacted cities of Covid-19, the NCOC has decided that classes for students under the age of 12 will be staggered. Classes for students above 12 years will be conducted on daily basis. According to the NCOC rules, from the starting of February, a minimum of one dose will be necessary for students for up to 12 years with no exceptions except for medical reasons. As we all know Pakistan has recorded the highest number of coronavirus cases since the outbreak began. That is why the Government has announced to take precautions.
