Lahore: The Schneider Electric Pakistan, Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (Tevta), Punjab Vocational Training Council (PVTC) as well as Muslim Hands signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Tuesday to establish new technical labs and modernize the present labs in electricity as well as energy management.

The programme is targeted at enhancing and increasing the vocational training education in Pakistan in the developing energy industry along with a particular focus on electricity in order to confirm the availability of skilled workforce in the particular zone.

All the partners will work together in primary aspiration of this agreement for carrying out the vocational training in the electrical trade to train almost 6,000 under privileged youth annually.

The country president of the Schneider Electric Foundation, France, while speaking at the MoU signing ceremony said:


Schneider Electric strongly believes that access to energy is the basic human right as well as it contributes to poverty assuagement and environment protection in an advanced as well as economically supportable way.”
