Karachi: The Malir University of Science and Technology (MUST) was unveiled at a local hotel on May 24th (Tuesday).
The Chancellor of university, Prof Tipu Sultan, said MUST was run by Zafar and Atia Foundation Charitable Trust, a non-profit organization whereas the varsity was established through a bill passed by the Sindh Assembly and approved by the governor of Sindh as an act through a periodical notification in October 2015.

“Our vision is to certify the higher education for common people” said Chancellor.
He furthermore said that the institution will be dedicated to affordable quality education and evidence-based research to solve the community issues.
He moreover informed the addressees that this university will be run by a 15-member board of governors while the university will be headed by Prof Sultan. The other members of the board belonged to medical field and other different sections of the society.
