Little girl loss of consciousness from heat in DG Khan after teacher 'locks her up' and goes home

Multan: A 4-year-old girl was found unconscious in a classroom of a school located in Taunsa, DG Khan District after her teacher supposedly locked her up in a classroom as a punishment for talking to her friend during class and went home even without letting her out.

The parents of the little school girl said that their daughter, Mehwish Muneer, was the student of nursery class at the Government Girls’ Primary School Cholani.

 On Monday, when she did not return home from her school, we started searched for her in the area however failed to find our daughter.

Muhammad Muneer, the father of the girl, told the media sources that at 6:00 pm they reached the school of their daughter to investigate their daughter however the gates of school were locked.

The worried parents afterwards entered the school premises after breaking the locks and desperately searched every room of the school.

“There I found my daughter unconscious in a classroom of the school,” said her father.

The 4 years old girl was instantly taken to the district headquarters hospital.

Mehwish, after regaining consciousness, said she was talking her friend in a class when the teacher asked her to leave the classroom and then her teacher locked her up in another classroom of the school.

She furthermore said that “when the school bell rang, every student and teacher left however nobody opened the door of the class where I was locked.”

The parents of the girl demanded that the deputy commissioner of Dera Ghazi Khan should take a strict action against the teacher for her carelessness.

But, the principal of the school presented a completely different view.

“Sometimes the aspirants play games and hide in various classrooms. The little girl might have fallen unconscious during playing due to the extremely hot weather,” she said.

Though, the school principal further added that the teacher will be interrogated and if she was found guilty of carelessness, strict action will be taken against her.
