The higher education commission of Pakistan has announced to conduct the special equivalence exams for foreign LLB graduates as per directions of the Supreme Court. The test is mandatory for the candidates that graduated from the foreign institutions/universities and wanted to appear in the law graduate assessment test (LAW-GAT) to apply in the bar council as an advocate. HEC conducts this test twice a year and the candidates have a maximum of 3 chances to appear in the test. Moreover, 50% marks are required to pass the special equivalence exam. The test will be held on 15th November 2020.
Eligibility Criteria
The students having a bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification from the foreign institute recognized by HEC/PBC are eligible to apply. The applicants have to also meet the other criteria mentioned by the higher education commission.
SEE-LAW Test Curriculum
The special equivalence exams include the following curriculum and the test will be based on the multiple-choice questions.

- Civil Procedure Court
- Criminal Procedure Court
- Qanoon-e-Sahadat
- Specific Relief Act
Registration Process of HEC SEE Test 2020
- To appear in the HEC SEE test 2020, the candidates have to do the online registration.
- A test fee of Rs. 5000/- must be deposited online/ATM in the Account No. 01127900567403, Account Title: Higher Education Commission, Bank: Habib Bank Limited, Branch Code: 0112
- Candidates must submit original fee deposit slip through courier to Room No- 13-209, 2nd Floor, HRD Building, HEC, H8 Islamabad before the last date of registration.
- The candidates are informed to mention their CNIC number at the back of the deposit slip.
- The test fee is non-refundable and non-transferable in any case.
- The candidates will receive the information about the date, time, and venue of the examination center through Email/SMS.
- One week earlier than the commencement of the test the students will be able to download their roll number slips.
- On the test day, the students must bring the original CNIC and print of roll number slip to enter the test center.
- The SEE LAW test will be held in the federal and the provincial capitals. After the registration, the students cannot change their selected test center.

The last date to apply in the special equivalence exams is 5th November 2020.
