Islamabad: Government of Pakistan has started works to employ recent Information Technology graduates in the leading Information Technologies companies, major banking entities as well as the telecommunications for a temporary internship program under the Prime Minister’s Internship Program.
This internship programme will focus on improving the potential of the young graduates having their major in IT. This internship programme will be offered in the year 2016-17.
Underneath this internship programme, almost 3000 of Informtaion Technology graduates will be provided internship in the top leading workplaces of the country. The internship will be offered for the time period of 6 months and will provide hands-on working industry and also business experience to the graduates.
A department from the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication, Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), is handling the procedure of making arrangements associated with the internship program. PSEB is speeding the procedures as well as the advertisements will be soon out in the famous local dailies and newspapers.
PSEB is also going to develop a concerning website for the implementation of the program. The respective website will list all of the companies available along with the government for the internship program.

New companies will be brought into the circle, as well as the portal would be updated on regular basis. The graduates will have to make their accounts on the website. The companies would be put to CMMI certification and also will be trained.
The CMMI certification would be carried out to improve the productivity of a company.
The program is targeted to improve the potential of the fresh graduates by placing internships for them in the Information technologies companies, as well as the IT departments of leading non-IT companies.
