Famous Pakistani actor Kashif Mehmood arrested from Lahore

Lahore: Well-known Pakistani actor Kashif Mehmood has been taken into custody by Punjab police from his residence in Lahore.

Younger brother of Kashif, Wasif said that police used a ladder to break into the house.

The recent custody comes as police cracked down against the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), arresting large numbers of party workers and leaders.

They raided the residence of MPA of PTI Sheikh Khurram Shehzad, whereas a member of Mirpur Youth Wing’s Central Committee Moon Chohan was also taken into custody.

Almost 20 PTI workers were arrested from Sheikhupura.

On the other hand, turning from protest to peaceful celebration, the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) on Tuesday said that its Islamabad lockdown on November 2^nd, 2016 will instead be marked as a day of thanksgiving in Islamabad.

While addressing a press conference outside Bani Gala, the chairperson of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Imran Khan thanked those who were part of his struggle against corruption.
