ETEA Entrance Test Schedule 2023 Announced For Public and Private Sector Engineering Colleges

The ETEA entrance test schedule 2023 has been announced for BSc engineering and non-engineering programs in public and private sector colleges/universities. The candidates who intend to apply to the public and private engineering universities of KPK have to pass the centralized engineering entrance test conducted by the Education Testing and Evaluation Authority. The candidates must pass the test with the maximum score to secure admission to the particular college/university. According to the decision of the Pakistan Engineering Council, two separate entrance tests will be conducted, and the best of the results will be taken for admission.

How To Apply?

• The candidates have to apply online for the ETEA entrance test 2023.
• The candidates must register online for each test and pay the admission fee of Rs.700/-.
• The fee for the test is nonrefundable.
• The ETEA will issue the roll number to the students at least one week before the commencement of the test.
• After the entrance test results are announced, the candidates must submit the online admission form according to the admission schedule provided by the respective universities. 
• The test centers will be in the major cities of KPK, Islamabad, and Taxilla.

Eligibility Criteria

The following categories of candidates are eligible to apply.

• The candidates who have passed the intermediate(Pre-engineering, Computer Science, or Pre-medical with additional maths) examination from the recognized Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education in Pakistan or equivalent examination with at least 60% marks with the combination of subjects Physics, Chemistry/Computer Science, Mathematics.
• The candidates who have passed the three years post-matric diploma of an associate engineer or B tech exam with at least 60% marks.
• The candidates who have passed the intermediate (pre-medical) examination from the recognized board of intermediate and secondary education in Pakistan or equivalent examination with at least 60% marks are only eligible for bioengineering and biomedical engineering.
• The result awaiting candidates are provisionally allowed to appear in the entrance test.  

Schedule For Entrance Test

Paper Composition

• The entrance test will consist of 100 MCQs.
• There will be no negative marking.
• The passing marks of the entrance test are 33%.
• The paper pattern for the Pre-engineering, DAE, Pre-tech, Pre-medical with additional maths candidates consists of MCQs with the distribution such as Physics 40, Maths 35, English 15, and Chemistry/Computer science 10.
• The paper pattern for the, Pre-medical candidates for admission in bio medical and bio engineering consists of MCQs with the distribution such as Physics 40, Biology 35, English 15, and Chemistry 10.
