Due to the increase in child labor, the School Education Department has decided to impose an educational emergency in schools across Punjab in the year 2022. At the beginning of the new academic year, education will be introduced in schools by imposing an educational emergency. Parents who do not admit their children to schools will be fined Rs 50,000 or imprisoned for 6 months.

It will be compulsory for all boys and girls of Punjab up to the age of 16 to admit in the school. Parents who do not admit their children will be fined Rs 50,000 or imprisoned for six months.
President Punjab Scholar Union
President Punjab Scholars Union, Akram Sial said that implementation of educational emergency is an important need of the hour. To increase the literacy rate, the government should fix a monthly stipend for poor children. President Akram Sial further said that the decision of school education department to impose an educational emergency will be a good sign for the educational sector.
