Lahore: The order has been given to stop the admission of students taking less than 50 percent marks in pre-board exams in government colleges. College principal will not be allowed to send admission students less than 50% marks.

According to details, pre-boards examinations have been conducted in the public schools of Punjab including Lahore in the month of January. In these examinations, students of First Year and Second Year participated.

The High Education Department has directed the Principal of government colleges to prevent admission of candidates taking less than 50 percent marks in the pre-board exams, but also the students of less than the 75 % attendance of the college should not be admitted to the board.

Directorate of Public Instruction Colleges (DPI) and Directorate Colleges Lahore Division will monitor this rule. Strict action will be taken against the Principal who sent the admission against the rules.
