ISLAMABAD: Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) has started preparations for Independence Day celebrations that are to be held on 14th August.
PNCA and National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage, Lok Virsa will hold events of National level which will engage youth in different activities.
As part of the cultural show the children will present Skits, National songs, Folk dances and Tableaus while the National Puppet Theatre of PNCA will charm the show on the theme of the Independence Day.
Several colorful puppets will show the history of the Pakistan Movement in the form of short stories to gain the attention of the children and teach them about their history.
It would be a week-long programs, which would focus on the freedom movement, Pakistani heroes and all the tradition and culture of the country.
There would be rare pictures and documents displayed at Allama Iqbal Open University regarding the Independence movement and Quaid-e-Azam.
While at private art galleries, educational institutions and art institutes there would be various events to celebrate the Independence Day.
