Multan: Sight screem of sports ground of Bahuddin Zakariya University was bulldozed for the arrangements of Valima ceremony of Zain Qureshi, son of famous politician Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Sunday. The walima ceremony hosted over 5000 guests.

The ceremony was attended by prominent members of the society including Chairman of PTI Imran Khan, PTI leader Jahangir Khan Tareen, Pak Sar Zameen Party (PSP) leader Arshad Vohra, Muttahida Qaumi Movement - Pakistan (MQM - P) chief Farooq Sattar, and senior politician Makhdoom Javed Hashmi.

Hundreds of the students staged protest against the alleged illegal action carrying slogans against PTI vice chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi. According to university’s PRO “The university has given permission for the valima ceremony not for destroying the sports ground”

However, Qureshi has promised to re-build the screen that he rented from the university.
