QUETTA: Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences has been providing scholarships to about 1,600 students annually.
This was stated by Pro-Vice Chancellor BUITEMS Prof-Dr M.A.K Mulghani while addressing a work study program introduction ceremony on Wednesday.
He recalled that it was BUITEMS that firstly introduced work study scholarship which influenced other varsities to follow the scheme to encourage talented students. He said the varsity was giving scholarships to maximum number of students in order to promote professional education.He emphasized the need to arrange employment for students who had completed their qualification from BUITEMS and other varsities.
Director Advancement and Financial Assistant Dr Muhammad Nawaz said scholarship scheme had encouraged deserving students to avail their talent and skills.
Giving briefing on the work study scholarship, Deputy Director Advancement and Financial Assistant Muhammad Shah Durrani said the BUITEMS was giving scholarships to students in three different categories. He said 20 percent of students were getting these scholarships.
