Rawalpindi, Bilal Ahmed, a student of Bahria University (BU) has won a gold medal in the 32nd National Games for HEC. Bilal Ahmed was awarded a gold medal in the 32nd National Games for HEC. In the contests of Riffle/Pistol shooting which were held at Islamabad, the BU student beaten many experienced and expert players and won the gold medal in 10m Air Pistol individual and team competition.
Another student Bilal Mansoor, made efforts to win the silver medal in the category of free style pistol team event and bronze in 50m pistol team event.
Both these students were selected in the HEC team for 32nd National Games based on their exemplary performance at the All Pakistan Universities Shooting Competition organized in Islamabad.
Sindh University (UoS) has declared that varsity students have won the 8th all Pakistan Nishan-e-Quaid Trophy in Quaid-e-Azam Quami Conference 2012 organized in Karachi.
According to the information from Public Relations Office, Quaid-e-Azam Quami conference was held by Baqai University Karachi, in which 23 public and private sector Universities participated.
Sindh University students were nominated as winners by judges for their outstanding speeches in the conference and thus Sindh University won the 8th all Pakistan Nishan-e-Quaid trophy.
Meanwhile, Higher Education Commission (HEC) has announced sports scholarships for two students of Sindh University Jamshoro based on their fantastic performance in 36th national games 2012 conducted in Lahore.
According to Director Sports (Boys), Sindh University boxers Hussain Shah and Israr Shah got first position in boxing competition held in Lahore and got Gold and Bronze medals respectively. They remained unconquerable during the competition in national level event. So the Higher Education Commission (HEC) selected both of them for its sports scholarships for the period of one year.
