The whole nation will pay the unrivalled and the rich tribute to the victims of Army Public School (APS), Peshawar on their first death anniversary on 16th December 2015.
The governmental as well as military leadership will get together in Peshawar on that day to remember the 144 innocent children and their teachers as well who were heartlessly killed for none of their crime by horrifying however the weakling terrorists on the day one year back. As per some sources Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif will lead the nation in giving the tribute to the young souls.
They will visit the Army Public School and lay flowery wreaths in remembrance of martyrs. The governance will also meet the parents of the martyrs in Peshawar and will also express their harmony with them.
The overseas ambassadors as well as the high commissioners who are posted in Islamabad have also insisted to attend the memorial ceremonies. It will be day of grief at the national level whereas the national flag will be lowered half-mast in respect of the martyrs who laid down their lives for this nation.
Quran khawani, Fateha khawani and also the special prayers will be offered in the entire country for the departed souls on 16th December morning. According to the sources, the inclusive programme has been arranged for the day to remember the innocents however because of some reason its details have not been made publicly yet.
The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Directorate has given the last touch to the programme under its Director General Lieutenant General Asim Saleem Bajwa who will also be present in Peshawar on that day. The sources said that, The Services Chiefs will attend all the programmes to pay tribute to the martyrs.
It will be appropriate to mention that the terrorists who took part in this cruelty act on 16th December 2014 were killed on the spot plus their helpers and partners have been arrested. 4 of them have already been condemned to gallows whereas the other four will be hanged any day. Their cases were heard in military courts and they were given the death penalty by the court after the fair attempt. The implementation took place after the approval of Chief of Army staff General Raheel Sharif.
