Allama Iqbal Open University has announced scholarships for its students. Earlier the university had issued the notification to award the scholarship to the students securing more than 80% marks. Now the AIOU has decided to extend this merit-based scholarship program. According to the university officials, the scholarship will be provided to such students who have obtained the required eligibility in the final exams of spring semester 2020.
Scholarships For Students
To avail of this opportunity, the candidates are advised to submit the required documents to the concerned authorities. Besides the merit-based scholarship program, the university also provides scholarships to transgender, needy, and differently-abled people. The main purpose is to offer financial assistance so that all the students can continue their studies without facing any financial burden. AIOU is struggling hard to provide the maximum assistance to the students so that they can play a significant role in the development of the country.
Free Education
Previously Allama Iqbal Open University had announced to offer matriculation education to the students of Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, and FATA. The major aim of the university is to provide basic education to all the students so that no one can be deprived of getting an education due to the lack of financial resources. The scholarship schemes will also play a significant role to improve the literacy rate. Moreover, it is also pertinent to mention here that the merit-based scholarship scheme is also effective for the autumn semester of 2020. The vice-chancellor of AIOU, Prof. Dr. Zia Ul-Qayyum has said that the special fund for the needy students has also been approved for the degree programs offered in the second phase of the spring semester 2021. The candidates who want to get this opportunity are informed to apply for the scholarship program before the last date.
