Islamabad: The Federal Government of Pakistan has released the needed primary funds to establish a dedicated campus of the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) in Sialkot, said the Federal Minister on Tuesday.
While talking to the media sources in Islamabad, the Federal Minister for Defence, Water and Power, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, said that a special grant of worth PKR 180 million was released as the first installment in order to establish the campus of NUST in Sambrial, Sialkot.

He moreover said that the campus will span over 150 acres of land that will be constructed utilizing an approximate cost of Rs 4 billion.
Khawaja Asif further added that the campus will pay its full attention to advanced technology and engineering courses that will be particularly curated to the forthcoming requirements of the industries that bear an export-oriented outlook.

The Member National Assembly Armughan Subhani,the Member Provincial Assemblies Muhammad Iram, Arshad Javaid Warraich, and Tariq Akhtar Subhani, the Chairperson of District Council Sialkot Hina Arshad Warraich, Vice Chairperson Ch Raza Subhani and Mayor Sialkot Municipal Corporation Ch Tauheed were also present on the event.
