AIOU students to get laptops

In Islamabad the Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has say something in order to obtain its students to use or take advantage of themselves of the Prime Minister’s Laptop Plan.

In a circular issued here, the AIOU said learners, who had enter or record on an official list or directory themselves for any master’s or four-year bachelor of science programme with its sectors in Spring 2012 and afterwards, should sent their particulars, including name, father’s name, registration number, registration date and computerized national identity card number, to the email address, director_sac@aiou.edu.pk, in the absence of deferment.

It said the data would be sent to the Higher Education Commission to check suitability for laptops to be given under Prime Minister’s Laptop Plan.

The AIOU, though, said the students couldn’t right laptops only by sending in the sought-after info as small dense moveable computers would be given to the nominated ones only.
