Islamabad, Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) and Salford University, UK have signed formal Memorandum of Understating (MoU) to promote and increase quality education at different academic levels.

The main purpose of this agreement was to enhance present education system and developing academic, research and cultural exchanges.

AIOU Vice Chancellor Dr Nazir Ahmed Sangi and Salford University Vice-Chancellor Prof Martin Hall at Salford University signed the agreement.

According to the agreement, both universities will exchange direct contact and collaboration between their faculties and administration in the respective fields.

Both institutions will share their knowledge in the field of research and teaching activities and the expansion of new degree and training programs.

The Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has opened admissions from Matric to MA/MSc level programs in various areas for Spring Semester 2013.  

Applicants can get admission forms and prospectuses from the main campus of the university in Sector H-8, Islamabad, and also at regional campuses and management offices all over the country.
 
The admission forms along with required documents and d fee can be submitted in the branches of Bank Alfalah, Habib Bank Limited, First Women Bank and Allied Bank and in nominated branches of the National Bank of Pakistan and Muslim Commercial Bank.
 
Pakistanis living in Middle-East can download admission forms and prospectuses for Matric, Inter and Bachelors programs from the website (del.aiou.edu.pk).
 
The computerized admission forms have been sent to all ‘continuing students.’ They can also download ‘continuing admission forms’ from the website (www.aiou.edu.pk).
