Islamabad: Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has launched fresh BE.d programme, according to latest road-map provided by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
According to the new strategy, the duration of the BE.d will be one and half year whereas the desiring candidates would be required to have sixteen years of education for their eligibility to take the admission in this programme.
The vice chancellor of Allama Iqbal open University (AIOU), Dr Shahid Siddiqui said thatwe are the forerunner in offering this programme, one and half year-duration, after the decision of higher education commission to phasing-out one year BE.d, PTC AND CT programmes.

From the present year, HEC has converted one-year BEd programme into four year on the basis of FA and FSc Education.
The post-graduate aspirants of (MA and MSc passed) have been declared eligible for doing their BE.d in a period of one and half year. Thus, the University has offered the programme for on-going admissions which will continue until September 30th, 2016.
