Bahawalpur: On Monday, in a bid to impart computer knowledge to the aspirants, an advanced computer laboratory had been inaugurated at Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU), Bahawalpur Campus.
This computer lab had been associated along with the computer science department and central library of main campus of Allama Iqbal Open University where the aspirants will be given lectures with the help of video link.

On the event, the chairman of Science Department Dr Nazeer Sanghi said the special programme had been started to facilitate the aspirants of Bahawalpur as well as of Cholistan.
He furthermore said that, “The aspirants will be given special discount on getting admissions in the respective discipline.”
Dr Sanghi also added, the students, who passed FA and FSc in 2nd division were eligible for admission in the computer science programme of Allama Iqbal Open University.

He pointed out the programme consisted of eight semesters along with the various specializations which comprises of IT, general programmes, and networking.
“All the programmes are approved from the Higher Education Commission,” he added.
He further said that the advanced standards were taken into deliberation in BS programme and the University was being promoted at par along with the modern technology.
