Islamabad: The Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF) and Foundation for Advancement of Medical Science (FAMS) have signed an agreement for the provision of scholarships to the deserving as well as brilliant aspirants of the OPF educational institutions to continue their studies in government sector medical institutes.
The managing director of Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF) Habibur Rehman Gilani and the chairperson of Foundation for Advancement of Medical Science (FAMS) Dr. Aamir Ayub signed the signed the agreement at OPF head office.

The FAMAS is a welfare organization led by the British Pakistani Dr. Umer Ayub working for the welfare of medical apsirants.
The MD of OPF thanked Dr. Aamir Ayub for this step and said that the government and OPF Board of Governors agreed that overseas Pakistanis were the real treasure of Pakistan.
He furthermore said that OPF was not just working for the welfare of Pakistani expatriates however it was also taking steps to welcome welfare organizations of overseas Pakistanis to work across the state.
Dr. Aamir Ayub said that eleven years ago, in association along with some British Pakistani doctors, he had established the FAMS along with an objective to provide financial aid to deserving and bright Pakistani aspirants of medical field.

He said along with the assistance of FAMS, currently bright and deserving students are getting medical education in 14 Pakistani medical colleges.
