50 officers awarded degrees in Military Science and Management at Convocation 2016

Vice Chancellor of University of Peshawar (UoP) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Rasul Jan was the chief guest of the ceremony and granted degrees to the successful graduates. He was accompanied by Commander School of Artillery Major General Asif Ali and Deputy Commander Brigadier Mukhtar Ahmed.

Almost 50 commissioned officers of Pakistan Army were presented Master’s Degree in the field of Military Science and Management in the Convocation 2016 of School of Artillery, Nowshera.

In his address, Vice Chancellor of UOP congratulated the officer gunnery staff course on successful completion of one of the most leading course of Artillery and Management crosswise the world. The shining, young as well as energetic graduates testify and speaks volumes of training efforts of themselves as well as the school management, he added.

Dr. Jan furthermore highlighted the need for complete diplomatic and defense policies to arrest the cause and spread of insurgency and make the country peaceful. He said that the efforts of Pakistan Army in bringing peace in FATA as well as its respond to any unfortunate natural and manmade disaster has remained unmatchable.

Before his address, Commandant School of Artillery Major General Asif Ali in his speech said that School of Artillery is the second largest training institute of Pakistan Army in terms of its magnitude of instructors and trainees.

He furthermore said that 500 officers and 1500 soldiers are imparted training in this institution every year. After that he presented his institution crest to the Vice Chancellor of University of Peshawar.
