38 MPhil students get laptops under PM’s laptop scheme

Lahore: A fascinating ceremony was organized at Lahore sub-campus of a government sector university for the distribution of laptops among 38 MPhil aspirants under the Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme on Friday.

The provincial Minister Higher Education Syed Raza Ali Gillani was present there as the chief guest of the ceremony. The chairperson of Punjab Higher Education Commission Dr. Muhammad Nizamuddin also attended the ceremony.

While addressing the audience, the Minister asked the aspirants to use this laptop facility for enhancing their research skills and provoke the solutions of modern-day challenges by studying the advanced revolutions and knowledge-trends in their respective fields of study.

He furthermore said that Information technology has overpowered each zone of society, and it is very helpful in improving the delivery of services as well as elevating the quality of life of the general public.

Our country can also earn huge foreign exchange reserves by promoting its Information Technology potentials as per the requirements of the international market.

He furthermore added that the government of Punjab is committed to develop the aspirants as team-leaders by offering them along with world-class education. For this reason, an all-rounded development relevant reforms agenda has been highlighted to develop the higher education sector by offering it essential resources.

Pakistan is an important south Asian country where plenty of natural and human resources are available; whereas the CPEC project has further amplified its development procedure, he added. An educated youth is an asset in the world of today.

Along with the convergent impacts of globalization, the accumulative importance of knowledge as a driver of growth and information and communication revolution is recognized internationally.
